Piano Marketing Group, LLC (PMG) began in December 2004 as an independent rep firm in the music industry. The concept was simple, to professionally select and represent piano manufacturers in North America. As time has passed the company continues to focus on this principle vision but has grown into other products and services. As the company continues to expand scope our mission to only focus on quality products that have great value for the investment continues to be our guiding vision.
Piano Marketing Group has a select staff of people that provide efficient performance and service with over 65 years collective experience. The diversification of our team offer complimentary sets of knowledge, experience, and creativity to enhance the overall skill set of the organization. Our goal has always been to provide products and services that are of tremendous value in a professional and honest manner to insure our enduring future.
Meet the Team:
Gary was one of the original founders of Piano Marketing Group and has served as the chief executive since the inception. Gary began his career in the piano industry in 1975 as a Customer Service Representative with Kimball Piano. Through the years he has experienced all levels of experience in the industry. He has sold pianos on the retail floor, managed dealerships, and worked for manufacturers from different positions which ranged from District Manager to VP of Sales and Marketing. This breadth of experience provides Gary with the ability to understand the consumer’s needs as well as the dealer and manufacturers.
Gary says, “I guess you could say I believe in the fundamentals of business in the traditional way. If you provide quality products, backed by excellent service, that provides a strong value, then you will be successful. For if you have your customer’s interest at heart and meet expectations, you will create long term success.”
Regional Sales Manager
Scott was also one of the original founders of Piano Marketing Group and has served as key management member and sales since the beginning. Scott began his musical interest as a child and after college started his career in 1979 with the country’s largest retail dealer in California. Beginning in retail sales, Scott quickly rose through the organization to Store Manager and General Manager. Scott progressed into the manufacturing side joining Kawai as an electronic specialist, primarily for digital products. Then Scott worked as District and Regional Sales Manager for acoustic piano companies before the origin of Piano Marketing Group. Scott has an extensive background in digital or electronic products as well as acoustic pianos.
Scott is quick to point out, “I love this business and the benefits of music. To see the growth and enjoyment people receive from playing the piano takes this out of a job into a pure passion. I am blessed to be able to provide products that enhance people’s lives and allow me to help our dealers become more successful.”
Regional Sales Manager
Aaron joined Piano Marketing Group in December 2009 after graduating from university with a BS in Business with a major in Entrepreneurial Management. Aaron has been around the piano business all his life so he has absorbed much knowledge through the years. Yet he brings to the group new ideas in marketing and business relations. His fresh approach challenges the standard methods of business forcing the company to look at concepts in fresh and exciting new ways.
Aaron sees a bright future as he states, “I am obviously still learning the intricacies of the business. Yet it is very exciting to see new avenues to increase our ability to better service our customers. We can modernize and utilize technology more to not change, but enhance our company. I look forward to adding to the growth of the company through my contributions and being a vehicle to help lead us into the next generation. All consistent with the values of customer support and valued product we strive for in our company.“
